Night city cycling tour of Colombo

Escape the sun and the crowds and go on a guided night city cycling tour of Colombo for a more peaceful exploration of Sri Lanka’s capital. After a few test rounds on your bike at iconic Independence Square, peddle past the eye-catching racecourse (built by the British in the 19th century) before cycling through Cinnamon Gardens, Slave Island and the deserted streets of Colombo’s largest bazaar, Pettah. As well as seeing the city’s beautiful night-time illumination, you will see iconic landmarks including the Dutch Hospital, Fort lighthouse and the entrancing Gangaramaya and Seema Malakaya temples. Complete the cycling tour of Colombo with a chilled beer at The Bavarian, moments from Galle Face Green and the Indian Ocean.

Additional Information
Although we generally advise against cycling in Colombo, the night-time streets are much quieter and cooler and it is a fun and refreshing way to see the city. You will follow well-thought-out routes which bypass heavy traffic zones, led by an experienced guide, and will be provided with a bike, helmet, reflective vest and refreshments. This activity is suitable for children over the age of 12 and lasts for four hours, starting at 5:30pm.
